The Shawmut Grade and the Bradford, Bordell & Kinzua Trail that runs up the side of a hill and parallels the Shawmut grade down in the Marvin Creek Valley. Connects to Allegheny National Forest.

Description: Popular destination for State College skiers. Access "The Barrens" at the parking areas in Greenbriar, Patton Woods, Circleville Park, or from Scotia Range Road. Some trails are overused but it is easy to get to less traveled areas. Keep in mind this is a hunting area. Blaze orange recommended.
