Chapman State Park Groomed Trails Description: Fun family destination. If kids aren't into skiing send them to the great sledding hill while you go on a great ski. Some grooming.

Clear Creek State Park Groomed Trails Description: Sets classical tracks on Tadler Run Trail and the Main Road. Located 12 miles north of Brookville, PA

Cook Forest State Park Groomed Trails Description: Classical tracks are set on Tom's Run Road, Fire Tower Loop, and Forest Drive. Old growth forest makes it a unique destination.

The Wilderness Lodge Groomed Trails Description: Great grooming for classic and skate skiing. Lake snows often dump here. Nice lodge and friendly staff. Every PA XC- skier should visit here.

Presque Isle State Park Ski Touring Trails Description: Experience Lake Erie close up and personal. An interesting place to ski when conditions permit. Good place for beginners.

Crystal Lake Ski Center Groomed Trails Description: A beautiful destination for classic and skate skiing. Good grooming and nice lodge. All PA XC-Skiers should ski here. Variety of trails. Sometimes access road gets icy, might need chains or 4WD.

Parker Dam State Park Groomed Trails Description: Groomed trails for classical skiing. A fun family destination within the Moshannon State Forest.

Black Moshannon State Park Ski Touring Trails Description: Close to State College, a great family destination. Westside Trails for beginners, Star Mill Trail easy, Mosse- Hanne and Ski Slope Trails more advanced. It is possible to circumnavigate the park. Nordic skating when conditions permit.

George B. Will XCSki Trail Ski Touring Trails Description: The first developed cross-country ski touring trail in PA. A nice flat trail suitable for beginners.

Laurel Mill Cross-Country Ski Trails Ski Touring Trails Description: Nice wide trails with sporadic grooming. A fun destination with Ridgway close by for refreshment after the ski. Some long downhills.

Potato Creek Trail Ski Touring Trails Description: Located southeast of Smethport in McKean County. The trails provide vistas and wilderness terrain for skiers. The trails include railroad grades. The Shawmut Grade and the Bradford, Bordell & Kinzua Trail that runs up the side of a hill and parallels the Shawmut grade down in the Marvin Creek Valley. Connects to Allegheny National Forest.

Quehanna Wild Area Ski Touring Trails Description: A ski touring dream destination. Trails, lots of them, pick up a map at the Moshannon State Forest office. Will have snow late into the season most years. Ski with a friend or group, and have proper safety gear. A winter camping destination, a wild and peaceful place.

R.B. Winter State Park Ski Touring Trails Description: What a great name for a place to xcski. Some easy trails and connecting routes to more difficult trails. Rapid Run Trail is popular.

Rock Run trails Ski Touring Trails Description: Located north of Unionville, on Rt. 504, about 4 mi. from Black Moshannon S.P. Skiing the Rock Run Trail is a more advanced and day long undertaking. Rockton Mountain Trails Ski Touring Trails Description: High elevation with plenty of snow. Close to I-80. Parking at Greenwood Road off US 322. Variety of easy to advanced ski touring trails. Snows can be deep, going with a group recommended.

SGL 176 Ski Touring Trails Description: Popular destination for State College skiers. Access "The Barrens" at the parking areas in Greenbriar, Patton Woods, Circleville Park, or from Scotia Range Road. Some trails are overused but it is easy to get to less traveled areas. Keep in mind this is a hunting area. Blaze orange recommended.

Wycoff Natural Area Ski Touring Trails Description: Part of the Quehanna Wild Area. Beautiful ski touring trails. Part of Elk State Forest. Go here for solitude. Proper safety gear and skiing with friends is recommended. Parking at Quehanna Highway and Wykoff Rd. intersection.

Egypt Road Trails Groomed Trails Description: Off New York State Route 12 north of Utica at Alder Creek. Egypt Road Trail system is the most visited section. The Rim Trail overlooks Alder Creek Valley. Creek View Trail along a brook through a hemlock forest. Rim Trail continues north of Egypt Road as Glacier Trail, glacial kettle landscape.
