	It is time to get serious about the upcoming ski season. One of the best ways to prepare for the snow to come is roller skiing. Roller skiing is fun but there are some safety considerations. 	Cross-country, Biathlon, Nordic Combined, and Ski Jumping The Vancouver 2010 website has a great photo section. Experience all of the nordic events in photos. The link above will lead you to the photos on the cross-country page. Scroll down to see the gallery. On the right hand side there are photo links to all of the nordic events. What makes an event nordic? It is the free heel binding. There are some amazing images and a lots of information to explore. 	Entrance Area to Rock Run and Rock Run Trails The Rock Run Trails offer a beautiful ski touring challenge. Abundant snow at high elevation and a variety of terrain make this an enjoyable adventure. An easy drive from State College, PA, the parking area for the trails is located about 4 miles east of Black Moshannon State Park off SR 504 in the Moshannon State Forest near a cluster of communication towers. Access to the Rock Run Trail is via the Allegheny Front Trail (AFT) on the north side of SR 504. More...
