Here are some cross-country ski-like options to consider. These are great ways to stay in cross-country ski shape when there is no snow. Nearly any vigorous physical activity would help a person to prepare for actual skiing. Hiking, paddling, running, bicycling, swimming, to name a few, but the following ways are cross-country ski specific and mimic the actual physical mechanics of cross-country skiing.
